Listen: Japanese Wallpaper & Montgomery – Piñata (Kultur Remix)

Japanese Wallpaper, aka Gab Strum, is the 17 year old Melbourne-based producer who’s been destroying it in the music community over the last year. His single “Breathe In” was featured on Zac Braff’s latest movie soundtrack for Wish I Was Here and since then he’s been building up his repertoire in fine spirit. His latest song, “Piñata,” on which he collaborated on with Montgomery got a delicate rework by Kultur. It’s restrained with shimmering synths, muted bass drums, and sweet piano lines in the background. Guided with the vocals gently maneuvering through, Kultur takes the track and bends it into glitched vibes before letting chimes bring the song back down in rolling waves. If any song can take you on a beach to watch the ocean push and pull, this is the one for it.

The track is up for free download off his SoundCloud which you can link to above.
